Saturday, September 6th, 2025: Don’t miss the “Life Beyond Camino” retreat hosted by St. Patrick’s Church in Arroyo Grande! The retreat is from 12:00pm-5:00pm, followed by mass, 6:00pm dinner followed at 7:00pm by a special one-woman show entitled “Crying on the Camino”. (We have seen this show before and it is very entertaining!) Everything is donativo including dinner.  Please rsvp asap but no later than Sept 4th to rachel.kovach@stpatsag.org.

Saturday, September 20th, 2025:  We are glad to report that our Training Hike Leader Yvonne is back in action and planning to lead a 9:00am hike by Montana de Oro which is a combination of the Point Buchon Trail with an option up Valencia Peak.  Point Buchon is a gorgeous trail right along the coast and Valencia peak is a challenging roughly 1200 foot climb in a four mile loop.  A reminder email will be sent out as this date gets closer.

Welcome to the home page of Central Coast Pilgrims!

Our mission is to support pilgrims and pilgrimage for those living in the central coast area of California.  We are a volunteer organization that offers advice, encouragement, fellowship, and community to all who might be interested in pilgrimage, and the many people who have already made a pilgrimage.  We are passionate about the Camino de Santiago, pilgrimage, and walking. We love sharing our experiences with our local community and beyond.

We meet the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, located at 800 Bello Street in Pismo Beach. We gather for fellowship, coffee and donuts until about 10:00 a.m., followed by a Camino-related presentation, start our walk around 10:30 a.m. for about an hour or so, enjoy lunch, and then walk back to St. Paul’s afterwards. Several past participants have told us that these walks "are almost like being back on the Camino", sharing steps, conversation, beautiful scenery and a meal with fellow pilgrims. Please also check our “Upcoming Events” section above for more details, as occasionally this schedule changes.
