UPDATES AND UPCOMING EVENTS
Saturday, March 1st, 2025: The time and location for our March 1st meeting has been changed to 5:00pm-6:30pm at The Mountain Air on 667 Marsh Street in San Luis Obispo. Our presentation that evening will be “What should I pack for my Camino”. This annual event is always a lot of fun and an opportunity to make sure you have the gear you need before heading off to Spain. Those interested can join us afterwards for a “pilgrim meal” up the street at Firestone’s Grill.
Thursday, March 13th, 2025: BUY YOUR TICKETS NOW for the U.S. Premier Tour showing of Bill Bennett’s “The Way, My Way” at the Palm theater, including a Q&A afterwards with Bill Bennett, Jennifer Cluff & Johnny Walker Santiago. The movie showtime is 7:00pm. We will be meeting before at 5:00pm at Firestone’s for dinner (with some special guests!) and then walking over to the show. Welcome to the home page of Central Coast Pilgrims!
Our mission is to support pilgrims and pilgrimage for those living in the central coast area of California. We are a volunteer organization that offers advice, encouragement, fellowship, and community to all who might be interested in pilgrimage, and the many people who have already made a pilgrimage. We are passionate about the Camino de Santiago, pilgrimage, and walking. We love sharing our experiences with our local community and beyond.
We meet the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, located at 800 Bello Street in Pismo Beach. We gather for fellowship, coffee and donuts until about 10:00 a.m., followed by a Camino-related presentation, start our walk around 10:30 a.m. for about an hour or so, enjoy lunch, and then walk back to St. Paul’s afterwards. Several past participants have told us that these walks "are almost like being back on the Camino", sharing steps, conversation, beautiful scenery and a meal with fellow pilgrims.
