Central Coast Pilgrims

Central Coast Chapter of the American Pilgrims on the Camino

UPDATES AND UPCOMING EVENTS

Thursday, March 13th, 2025:     Our group was probably 90% of the sell-out crowd at the Palm Theater and really enjoyed the movie, Q&A, and our pre-show dinner at Firestone’s! For you that missed out (or want to see it again!), the show has been extended util Thursday March 20th.  The link to buy tickets is (or go directly to Palm Theater website): https://slofilmcenter.eventive.org/schedule/the-way-my-way-q-a-with-director-bill-bennett-67b4beca31478d447ca78176

Saturday, April 5th, 2025:     Join us for our regular first Saturday meeting IN THE CHURCH HALL at St. Paul’s in Pismo. Coffee and donuts start at 9:30am, followed by our annual Shell Ceremony at 10:00am, with a walk followed by lunch afterwards. Any of you planning on walking the Camino in 2025 are eligible to receive your free shell (and pilgrim blessing), and the rest of you are invited to come cheer them on (remember your first Camino…). Please email us to sign up for your shell, and remember to use the link above to get your free credential (just allow at least three weeks).

Saturday, April 12th, 2025:    “Wines of the Camino” workshop, tasting and potluck.  Join us in April to explore wines you’ll find along the Camino Francés. Pilgrim, author and Certified Wine Specialist Karin Kiser will take us on a tour through Spain’s wine regions, followed by a Spanish-themed potluck. RSVPs are required for this event due to limited space available. See our monthly email for more details.

Welcome to the home page of Central Coast Pilgrims!

Our mission is to support pilgrims and pilgrimage for those living in the central coast area of California.  We are a volunteer organization that offers advice, encouragement, fellowship, and community to all who might be interested in pilgrimage, and the many people who have already made a pilgrimage.  We are passionate about the Camino de Santiago, pilgrimage, and walking. We love sharing our experiences with our local community and beyond.

We meet the first Saturday of each month at 9:30 a.m. at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, located at 800 Bello Street in Pismo Beach. We gather for fellowship, coffee and donuts until about 10:00 a.m., followed by a Camino-related presentation, start our walk around 10:30 a.m. for about an hour or so, enjoy lunch, and then walk back to St. Paul’s afterwards. Several past participants have told us that these walks "are almost like being back on the Camino", sharing steps, conversation, beautiful scenery and a meal with fellow pilgrims. Please also check our “Upcoming Events” section above for more details, as occasionally this schedule changes.
